Weathering the Weather

It's blizzarding out there right now...such a strange winter...was 56 on =
Friday when we went out to the lake to make sure our tarp was holding =
tight on Chanteuse. The manager of the yacht club just got back from =
the Keys and was regaling a few buddies about his sailing adventures =
down there (not a word of yellow Coronado's). Muskegon Lake was =
iceless...we debated about dragging the dinghy out of its' berth and =
taking a row, since there was no wind...no icebergs on Lake Michigan =
either. Now they're saying it's only going to be 9F on Tuesday. =
Strictly Sail is the last weekend of January this year and we're =
planning to go since we need to upgrade some electronics. The Grand =
Rapids boat show is in November, but that's usually pretty lame...mostly =
Hunters and Catalina's and the local marinas selling slips....April is =
just around the corner.

Well,

Bellingham is clear with a temp. of 53 degress F but north and south of
us is getting the s--t kicked out of them. The Ice Storm really hit
Portland. Over 30000 without power.

There is another front moving in on us but it is a Pacific High. It
should be warm and get rid of the damn ice from the Canadian cold front.

Looks like the worst is over for us. AND; "I'LL DINK TO THAT!"

53, damn I think I hate you! Got up this morning to -29 (C), 38 below with
the wind-chill, I can't be bothered to change that into F, but it's frickin
cold whatever scale you measure it on, dogs were not happy, fastest pee I
ever saw!

Cheers
Marty
