Well,

Bellingham is clear with a temp. of 53 degress F but north and south of
us is getting the s--t kicked out of them. The Ice Storm really hit
Portland. Over 30000 without power.
There is another front moving in on us but it is a Pacific High. It
should be warm and get rid of the damn ice from the Canadian cold front.
Looks like the worst is over for us. AND; "I'LL DINK TO THAT!"

We're just down the road from you, in Everett. My kids really enjoyed
the snow days; but I'm happy to be returning to our basic "45 degrees
and drizzly" mode, instead of frozen roads, etc.

Here it gets all the way down to 45F at night, and will only get up
to 72F tommorrow, plan on sailing in the morning. Only thing that
freezes around here is what we put in the freezer.

Yes. I agree with Mark Twain: "If I owned both Hell and Texas, I'd live in
Hell and rent out Texas."

Just to give Texas a small break, let's talk about South Louisiana. My
main motivation for completing college was my summer job pouring
concrete in the New Orleans area. From my subjective experience, if
you ain't never poured concrete in New Orleans in the summer, you
ain't got the comparative experience to complain about "heat."

Because of those summers, I was determined to qualify for an indoor
career!

In Texas and Hell, maybe. In New Orleans in the summer the humidity
hovers near 100%. Add that to a temperature near the same and... Well,
one of my friends who's a Seattle native visited there with me one
summer. Their comment was, "My God! It's like living inside a
blister."

Disgusting but accurate.
