Nevertheless, I am reminded of my first couple of weeks in England, when I
was working as a barman.

"Real ale" has a very potent effect upon the unsuspecting colon. I was
producing SBD's at an alarming rate.

Although everybody in the bar knew that somebody was fouling the air, I
evaded detection by walking quickly to the other end of the bar after each
offence.


Thank God that the summer of '75 was a warm one! I had to sleep with the
window wide open.
