Default Power Steering

I'm looking at a Borg-Warner powerscrew drive for the rudder. What kind of
current drain on the batteries can I expect from manual control of the helm
versus autopilot? I'm getting a hell of a deal on this unit: New In Box!

Current drain for most below deck autopilots depends on how hard and
frequently they work. Assume an avg. of 5 amps. Could be more, Could
be less. Even if its free, it too big for your boat and your future
boat. The cost of installation will approach the cost of a wheelpilot.
It cost me at least a grand , over and above the autopilot ,on my
installation not including my labor.
