Well your portable VHF is not leagl on shore, so a CB would make sense to
communicate with crewmembers on shore. "Scott Vernon" wrote in message ... For when he gets lonely at night, he can talk to the truckers on I 95. "SAIL LOCO" wrote in message ... Does anyone here use CB radios on their boats? No why? I did just buy a pair of FR to take to the islands for 2 way between boat and tender. S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" Trains are a winter sport |

FRS works just fine for most situations. When greater range is needed, we use
our cell phones. Cell phones work great, we've tried AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon. Verizon is the best so far, but we still lose signal plenty of times. Anyway...probably won't bother with CBs...just wondering.. RB |
