There's always a reason. It's the nature of things. Cheers MC That's rather a complacent attitude, isn't it? --=20 katysails s/v Chanteuse Kirie Elite 32 http://katysails.tripod.com "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." - Robert A. It's the end of the world

I have a file about four inches thick into which I put articles, reference data, specs, how-to's etc from sailing magazines I used to subscribe to. I quit putting stuff into the file when it started to repeat. This occurred after only three or four years time. Exactly the same here! Same with all magazines I think. I used to get 'Mother Earth News' in the 70's & 80's. Stopped when they had nothing new to offer. Ditto 'Home Shop Machinist'. They eventually need to start running articles for the newbies and the old subscribers lose interest. That set of people have probably bought all the 'must have' gear and become a lot more sophisticated about the luxury stuff so they're no loss to advertisers anyway. Newbies will spend more money. I finally found sufficient justification for buying a framing nailgun tho. Not sure what boat stuff it'll come in handy for, but it makes building the shed frames a lot simpler. PDW |

It's the end of the world
It's always the end of the world (as we know it). That's what happens in an
evolutionary system. |
