I've already scored some great gifts from friends and family, but I'll
wait a few days before unleashing the LIST!!! Scotty will cry, no doubt! Most people get fired up about being able to spend time with family or friends on their birthday. This guy talks of "scoring gifts" I guess that's like scaming old people. S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" Trains are a winter sport |

Gifts should be a private matter between you and the
people who give them. Listing them in public is vulgar. Most of us were taught this at an early age. Obviously, you weren't. "Bobsprit" wrote in message ... Tuesday I turn 41!!!! I think I will be. I've resumed my running, now 3 miles a day 4 days a week. Plus a bike ride now and then. I plan to be around 195-205 or so for a long time, perhaps more if I build my chest and arms to where they were a few years ago. My heart rate, BP and cholesterol are on the same level as a fit teenager. Actually my cholesterol is lower. RB RB |

It is his soul itself that is shallow. It doesn't give him any advantages. Your analogy is false. A shoal draft soul can ONLY sail in waters that are devoid of substance. It was your false abalogy, not mine. A shoal draft can sail both shallow and deep, at the choice of its skipper. ANd waters devoid of substance must surely mean the very deepest oceans. Congrats on the B-day. I turned 41 at sea. I was dumb enough to complain about it. The cook wisely pointed out the alternative. Bart (Bobsprit) wrote Tuesday I turn 41!!!! Tad,
Let's think of Nutsy's Soul, with the shoal draft keel as being used in shallow, muddy waters with a life having trouble holding a true course because of unwanted leeway. Wandering thru life needing constant correction after correction. Let's hope his coming year will bring him into clearer seas, with a more favorable wind to let him set a better, more decent course in his life. I liked the analogy!! Hope you have a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND A WONDERFUL COMING YEAR!!" Nutsy "I'll Drink to That!!" Ole Thom P/S No I don't maintain a page for pictures of my Boat. I can send you a picture of it. What would you like to see? |

Downhaul and reefer?????
I'd guess you're smoking entirely too much reefer. He he he! Nice looking boat, though. It doesn't really look like a motor sailer. It certainly is much nicer than Booby's cheap looking plastic. Thanks Simp,
You're right, she doesn't look like a Motorsailer mostly because she isn't. She is a true Pilothouse Sloop. Even at that, if you look at that pretty hull below the water line you won't see very many fast cruising boat any finer or fairer than that. If you hadn't noticed, that wing on the keel has a slight pitch to windward when it get heeled. I've surprised a lot of racers with the upwind ability of that pilothouse sloop. It also makes 'Pneuma" an easy boat to trim out downwind. Again I that you for your praise. It is appreciated We have been socked in by storms for over a week now, so I haven't been out. I'll get some picture of the interior. That is where I'm the proudest. I done a bit of customizing down below to make her a good single hander. As soon as the weather allows Neal, I'll also get some pictures of the new main for you. Now that I can send photos again OT |
