There is an added bonus - people will soon learn that it is stupid to

that their car got stolen, so reported car thefts will drop to zero - and
the government can claim total victory over car theft!

Of course, the public won't be satisfied. So, the government will have

Arson victims should be locked up for living in flammable homes!
