I'd suspect a bad ground somewhere, remove and clean all
connections,
replace
same and tighten well. Are you using any of those automotive type
crimp

connectors?

In fact, ... if a complete stranger, on rhe other side of the world, writes

If you are capacitatively coupled to a device you will alter it's high
frequency response. You may either shunt signals to ground or act as an
antenna. The magnituide of the effect depend on your coupling and/or the
frequency of interest.
