That's because they went to Republican Leadership schools where they
learned certain facts of life the foremost of which is that voters
always elect the candidate who tells them what they want to hear.

Democrat Leadership schools teach exactly the same thing.

The candidate who hires the best pollster to find out what WE want to
hear, then says it longer and louder than his opponant wins every time.
Both take money, so the one with the most $$ to spend wins 99% of the
time.

Notice that truth and honesty are liabilities in this game. One MUST say
what people want to hear to win; not what is honest or truthful.

So why are we surprised that elected officials all lie? We don't elect
them if the don't.
