what it stands for?
I'm a man. "WHAT HE STANDS FOR"

Lets see what do I stand for, hmm? Never been asked that before. Pretty
simple I guess. I stand for treating strangers with respect. I stand for
being a gentleman. I stand for calling my mother every day. I stand for
giving to charity if you have the means. I stand for rock-n-roll as I'm
still rockin' in a band 23 years later. I stand for my Miami Dolphins(
although that's getting a little tougher these days ). I stand for good

ale

and good rum. I stand for full sails and naked women sunning themselves

on

the deck of my boat and all the boats I encounter in my travels. Pretty

much

just all-American good things. Want to know anything else? Please be
specific.

Here ya' go Capt. Geo's as promised.

But tell me, why is stem cell research a bad thing?
Because to get the stem cells, you must have a fertilized ovum in the =
first steps of gestation. The fertilized egg is killed for the sake of =
another human being.
If I offered=20
you a treatment for your Parkinsonism using your stem cells why would=20
you object?=20

Yes, I would and I would deny that type of treatment. I work with =
patients that have Parkisonian type syndromes, Parkinson's disease, and =
other neural pathway diseases. Neurontin works on some, surgery works =
on others. Don't need to be killing off embryos to cure others' =
disease. I also think it is ridiculous to offer oneself up as a guinea =
pig to oncologists by treating cancer with chemotherapy. I have seen =
several relatives go through 6 moths of torturous chemo where their =
lives were miserable only to prolong their lives for another 6 months =
after it was all said and done. And then they still died of cancer and =
it was still unpleasant and they still had to be morphined out of their =
minds at the end. I have already informed my children that if I should =
be so unlucky as to develop a cancerous condition I would choose to live =
with it for as long as it allowed me to live and then I would hope to go =
gracefully....or zonkered out on morphine.

Why do you think this has anything to do with aborting babies?
It does here in the US. That's where they get the stem cells. They =
harvest the fetuses from abortion clinics.
