You're problem, Neal, you don't have enough mental capacity, common
sense, etc., to realize that you've lost every argument regarding the
Rules and any other subject you've argued with us, so you continue to
post junk, as evidenced, below.
You may have read the Rules (I'm not sure), but you certainly have no
understanding of their intent, or the particular meaning of specific Rules.
Buffoon ..... no....Ignorant Buffoon, describes you well.

Sure sign that Simon the Buffoon realizes he's lost yet another

another defeat, to one he may have more personal knowledge of.

Shen, Rick and otn have ALL been reduced to simple
name-calling because they know any attempt at serious
debate gets them a severe beating every time.

So sad for three, big, proud motorboaters to have their
clock cleaned by a sailor who holds a Masters license
just like them and can run a motorboat as well as they
can but has the means and sense to do so only when
he feels like doing it.

Unlike you three wannabes I'd rather be SAILING.

Sorry Neal, "Right-of-Way" and "Stand-on" do not mean the same thing. In the Inland
Rules, both terms are used. Stand-on means that a vessel is obligated to keep her speed
and course (until conditions necessitate otherwise). Right-of-way is given to downbound
vessels on Western Rivers, and implies that they can dictate the maneuver to an upbound
vessel. In essence, the ROW vessel controls the entire situation.

Now come on Neal, its about time you came clean. You never did take that test, did you?
Its pretty clear that if you had to take it now you wouldn't get 50% right, even if you
were allowed to use the book.

End of next month - the 25th if I remember correctly.

Don't worry, it will be renewed - I'm working on the paperwork
right now and I've the physical and drug test scheduled in the
first week in November. Heck, they give you a whole years grace
to renew it.

S.Simon - is a Master and will remain a master for many, many years yet.

P.S. Right of way is just another way of saying stand-on vessel. I expect
Shen, otn and that little twerp Rick not to know terminology but you should
not be so ignorant.

The International ColRegs don't give any vessel "Right of Way." They only give

vessels
obligations. You're the one with the biased view - you demonstrated that in this

post!

Its a good thing your license will expire next month.

I'm just testing you guys to see how you do. You seem to have a pretty
good handle on the Rules while Shen and otn seem to be quite confused
at times. Especially otn with his lame statement about being in sight of
the bridge to be considered in sight. Bwahahahahahhahaaha!

S.Simon - passed the written test with flying colors.
Rules of the Road = 100
Deck General = 98
Nav General = 100
Chart Nav = 100
Master upgrade = 96

To have a serious debate, one must debate with someone with serious
knowledge of what they speak .... you're knowledge of the Rules and any
other boating subject, is well below "basic". We all know that you are a
Simple Ignorant Buffoon, not worthy of any respect.

That's pretty funny, considering that you have obviously never even seen a real master's license. If you
actually took the test, the graders would have a heart attack laughing.....

ROFL, Shen and I have forgotten more about the "Rules", than you have
ever, or will ever, learn.
You constantly show a total lack of ability to comprehend the meaning,
of said "Rules" ...... nuff said

I have absolutely no doubt that you would rather be sailing than doing
whatever it is you do.

Got a news tip for you, Nil ... nobody is stopping you from letting go
that old engine block and sailing away. As a matter of fact there
probably aren't many here who would lift a finger to deny you your
desire to go sailing.

Most of us sincerely hope you go sailing ... tonight, for a long time.

Are you still jealous of my pecs?
