Leather boots and whip, boy....and it's not my sweat.... --=20 katysails s/v Chanteuse Kirie Elite 32 http://katysails.tripod.com "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." - Robert A. I've met the guy who makes those Focus kits and seen the car. The really
unusual and great part of the thing is to do the conversion with his kit it requires no welding. Pretty rare for this big a project. I would imagine if you went all out on a motor it would be like driving a funny car. I'd rather build a quality Cobra replica. S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" Trains are a winter sport |

AutoWeek did a review of a turnkey car that's being produced locally. 600
hp. IIRC, they said it wasn't too difficult to drive once you got past the launch part, and it still seemed to handle fairly well. John Cairns "SAIL LOCO" wrote in message ... What kind of car? The one that's being discussed or what? Being somewhat familiar with overpowered cars since I owned a 1700lb car with an 85 inch wheelbase that had a Ford small block putting out around 320HP I would think a 2600lb short wheelbase Focus with 600HP would be a handfull until 3rd gear when going all out. The Focus. They had the thing fitted with an auto, for obvious reasons.

Sounds perfect for the Beltway.
