I hope his mooring held......
I used 1/2 chain on my mooring.....with 5 extra feet of chain...as I was too
lazy to cut it......but it saved me in the surge.....

I noticed a lot of mooring's broke here as they used line......
Some boats on the shore...... still had balls attached to their cleats....

Many boats where wasted...as the docks they were tied too broke
free....carrying the boats away.....

All in all lots of people were not prepared at all....

That storm seems to have gotten little publicity and
it must have been going forward at a good clip to
take so many people unaware. I can't even recall
its name or did it not have a name?

Is it that uncommon to have a 'cane strike at those
high latitudes? Do people up there have NOAA weather
channels on their VHF radios or is that only in the US?

They do, but it's in English and the Canooks can't understand.
