I don't doubt for one secont that a C&C32 can *do* 7 kts upwind. However,
you claimed a sustained average of 7.5 kts. That is just plain rubbish.

I've managed to *do* 15.2 kts, but I've barely/rarely "averaged" more than 8
kts!

I never said we were upwind. Now...at what point does a reach "stop being
upwind?"
