OK! Let me put it simply.

A few months ago, the French and German governments were given all sorts of
abuse by various members of the Bush administration for their refusal to
support war in Iraq.

The French and Germans felt that the War against Terror would not be helped
by invading Iraq. They warned that the situation would be made worse. They
claimed that there was no proof that Iraq posed an imminent threat. They
claimed that there was no evidence to link Al Q'aeda with Saddam, and they
said that there was no proof of the existence of WMD.


The situation in Iraq has now gone "tits up", just as the French and
Germans predicted.

Now, the Bush administration is seeking assistance from the French and
Germans because the US is finding it difficult to deal with the daily
terrorist attacks.


It is very stupid to ask the French and Germans to help to pay for the mess
that they tried to prevent in the first place. Only an idiot would expect
help in this situation.

I don't think that I am being very clever. I do think that anyone who
still thinks that Bush is intelligent must be very stupid.
