[I think MC was suggesting, in another post ( Too much flat calm weather
lately) that the Vikings may have been admirers of Greek techniques.]
In any case, my favorite theme comes from Greek lit: ~~ it is impossible to
learn without suffering, and impossible to suffer without learning.~~
