If they catch you drunk while boating in Canada... you automatically lose
your driver's license for a year, you must take a course to get your license back and no insurance company will touch for any amount of premiums. That said.... if your vessel has a galley, salon, head and separate sleeping quarters.... guests may drink alcohol down below. There is nothing that states the owner must be sober... only the crew on watch. They do not make a practise of checking sailboats and the legislation was mostly geared and enacted to control powerboaters. CM "jlrogers±³©" wrote in message om... The International Maritime Organization, the United Nations body responsible for safety at sea, has already recommended to all member countries, including Ireland, that national legislation should be introduced controlling alcohol consumption by seafarers. http://www.rte.ie/news/2005/0303/bay.html -- -- jlrogers±³© Beaten by George W. Bush! Now that's funny! |
