An anchor buried in the mud and the ground plate on your boat may make a
great electricity source. Run an insulated wire from the anchor and one from the ground plate to a simple dc-dc converter and you can charge your batteries: http://www.nature.com/cgi-taf/DynaPa...20/n8/abs/nbt7 16.html&dynoptions=doi1061334452 Jax |

That would be a trolling battery!

I suppose if one chose the right material for the ground plate, one could
electroplate it with the zinc that formerly coated the anchor? Scout |

Read on about the dc to dc converter in the Kongsberg Simrad references

Also you can multiply voltage using a varactor charge pump that works well
below semiconductor bandgap levels. You could also use a mechanical vibrator-relay. "The_navigator©" wrote in message ... I especially like the 'simple DC to DC converter bit.
