Or are all these posters just amateurs?

This newsgroup is about Bertie the Bunyip, Gary Burnore and Peter J
Ross - as you can tell by reading a few of the subject lines.

Who are these people?

They're famous, newbie.

Not as famous as when I was a sailor, mister !

We certainly don't want any skilled sailors like you here.

When I was here in the late '80s I could obtain full information
for my deep sea sailing exploits, and what's left now?

Nothing but sand. Nothing but sand.

I'm regularly sailing in the Carribean, and there is no sand there,
tha's for sure!

A better group to subscribe to if you want sailing discussion
is uk.rec.sailing. The people over there at least act like
grown-ups.

What the **** does a uk.* froup have to do with the *American* Sailing
Association?

Idiot. Try to keep up.

Who said that urs had anything to do with the American sailing association?
Huh? Twit!

Furthermore, what on Earth made you think that this group was reserved for
the *American* Sailing Association?

What do you think that the "Alt" in alt.sailing.asa means? Are you a
complete newbie .... or are you just pretending to be completely ignorant of
Usenet?

You're all reputation.... and no substance.

Donal

Bull****! They can take them to any scrap yard and get a few bucks for
them.
Scrap steel is around $.04 a lb.

Naw, I pointed it out to him about 5 years ago, but he still hasn't left. I think he's permanently moored here, just like his boat is permanently moored to an old A-4 engine block.

Fix your line-length, newbie.

Most of them aren't even that.

BTW, there is nothing wrong with being an amateur.

It means you do something for the love of it.
