I enjoyed the report. Should I assume the return trip to the slip
was uneventful? That is usually an entertainment opportunity on a
breezy day
To be honest, the slips are well protected, even in a very windy day. It's
rarely a problem coming in. Somedays I do it better than others, but I've yet
to have a mishap.

Well protected slips are nice, indeed
I haven't had that luxury for
a while, although at least my slip is head to wind more often than
not. My only fiascos have been when I am sailing very short handed
(one non-sailor as crew). That coupled with the fact that my boat has
an offset prop shaft has created some moments of stress for me and
entertainment for onlookers
I have a whole dock box full of old
firehose that I have been meaning to install in my slip to help
protect my topsides, but I haven't gotten around to it as yet.
Handling the boat under power with an offset propshaft is a dream once
you get some way on, but until then it is a bit different to say the
least.
