What was your pinky towing...and why?

Great...now I have to go watch the DVD again.

Oil rig.

On my way to the theatre room, I smashed my pinky tow against the edge

of the
door.
This is my second grounding in less than a week!
Looks like a fracture. And may I add....YOWCH!

About 400 pounds of blubber, but that's another thread.

Default NY Wind

No question about it. The wind was gusty. I was

It was nuts.
It was great.
But it was windy.

Have you confirmed whether, for that model (the B331), reefing
comparatively early, even if not in any way necessary, substantially
increases speed and sailing peformance in related respects? If and to
the extent so, in what configurations in what conditions?

How so? We went sailing with no crew

If you were skippering, then what were Marc and Hulia doing? Sitting
cleaning their nails?

Get with the program girl, they're not real. I made them up. Please
don't hate me, I can't help it, I'm so lonely.

Our Kirie Elite 32 is built along the same lines as a First (better
interior, though), and acts that way. If the wind is blowing between 12-15,
one reef significantly increases speed over flying the main all out...at 18,
we double reef and get the same effect....

That was a rhetorical question, right? Like asking Simon about being
out in fog - obvious that it's never happened.

What kind of place is that? 7 pm and there were only 2 boats left??? 25
kts of wind sounds like perfect sailing condidtions - unless you are in a
hurry to reach an upwind destination.

Another guy who can't read. Here's what Marc wrote:

Upon finishing my lunch, I drove to Bob's yacht club to wait for his
arrival. While waiting, the wind picked up to such an extent that I
had to furl the deck umbrella I was sitting under and the storm clouds
began to cover 3/4 of the sky.

And then he indicates that winds gusted above 25 knots. I'd say close to 35
knots at times. That heavy air combined with nearby storm systems sent most
sailors home.
We stayed out and the storm missed us.

Oz and NZ, wishfull thinking on his part.

Oz might be a de-facto state of the USA, but NZ is a state of
bankruptcy. We've got first option :-)

Well, it'd be an improvement on owning Seattle at least.

BTW, I'm top posting just to annoy Burnmore, if he's reading....
