Honestly, that sounds like what i go through with Band practice. I am
often the first to arrive and the last to leave, and at least one of
the guys is usually late, or its not unheard of that they dont show
up for a
show.

One thing that ive learned in life (because for most of my life i was
a dedicated slacker)

Is that everyone is replacable.

I learned that the hard way.

Especially with regards to a band that i intend to do something with.

or even work related ****, it really gets to you when someone doesnt
show.

Honestly, though i do not know any other Asatruar in my area, so i
suppose i dont have to be so concerned about it at the present time.

But if i did have a group, i would be ****ed, just like i get with
the

band.

How much more ****ed would you be if it was a religion and not a
hobby?

It is a religion. Yours and mine.

Perhaps we have a different ideal of what it means. Perhaps you have
more experience in it. But is it any less important to me? No.

But all along i know there will always be people who jump too quick.

My solution would be to give them a chance to bail, and not worry
about it.

IF after that chance they still clung on, and then still did not act
committed, then i would be ****ed.

But thats me, and you are you.

As I wrote at the end:

"Do we have a religion or a hobby? If we answer 'religion' then there
is nothing more important. It is not merely a factor in our lives, it
is our lives and we should consciously treat it as such. If the
answer is 'hobby' then, to put it bluntly, take your hobby
elsewhere."

havamal affects my actions daily, and i definately believe the Aesir
exist. I am no universalist besides believing that other gods do exist
to different people.

I would never draw the sword on any of my kinsmen or folks that i do
not really know, Unless they have been asking for it for a long time.

there you go,.

Djirkie has you now.

Perhaps. Only because i have not seen Dirk perform dishonorable acts as
of yet.

You on the other hand should check out the meanings of the word slander.

No, there's no opportunity. Dirk can speak for himself and say
what he wants and account for it. That's called being
responsible, which may confuse you.

My political beliefs are summarised in the URL in the sig.

FFF
Dirk

The Consensus:-
The political party for the new millennium
http://www.theconsensus.org

I got to read it today, actually. I enjoyed it - I'd look forward
to discussing the Consensus and other political concepts here
sometime - even if politics is not on topic I think it's quite
relevant.

of course you do nazi boy!

You're confused, Bert. 1st, I'm a radical liberal (real definition,
look it up). I favour free minds/free mkts, and national socialism is
against that. 2nd, I'm a man, but I'm not suprised if you don't
understand the difference.

Meanwhile, I guess Bertie is still trying to think of a clever
reply to my post..

Mmm, no, just answered it.

IOW, I shouldn't set a high expectation on your intellect?

you can set what you like.

They must simply live up to their words.
For example, if they say they will be at a Blot, and don't show, their
actions have not matched their words.

All true enough. But you have been implying that anyone not willing to
gat their asses kicked on *your* schedule is some sort of oath breaker.

Well, noone said world domination was going to be all picnics and roses,

I'm saying I reserve the right to test them and judge them according
to their own criteria.

Yes, and you have no views on immigrants into the UK, do you
Djirkie?

Bertie

Do you have views on UK immigration, Bert?

Aww, no there's a question.

It's not an answer though.

I see Bertie has not been reading the Consensus website.

I have actually, Djirkie,.

I suggest he goes away and does that - it will answer all his
questions.

nice dodge Djirkie.

why don't you answer it now, though?

just to make it plain as day?
