Take the LWL, for example,
my vessel also has a LWL of 25 feet. This means her hull speed is the same as yours. A J30 and Express 30 are both faster than a Catalina 36, though the Catalina has more LWL. LWL is but one factor and your boat falls short in most others. Just the same, even if your boat could do 20 knots, it's still ugly crap that no real sailor would ever buy.
