Value of Toys!
Top items aboard Alien...not all sailing related....all new to us! 12 Volt Fridge. Simply fantastic!!! No more buying ice for day trips and overnighters. The thing makes ice FAST and gets everything cold. We bought some tupperware so meats can stay aboard. Self Tailing Winches: Everyone loves em'! I can trim one handed from the wheel and it's far easier on the girls. The winches are large, which doesn't hurt! 8 winches, 7 are self tailing! Dinette: What a great idea! 4 people can sit and eat without blocking the whole cabin. The whole boat seems bigger inside! Electric Head: I had originally planned to remove it, but damn it's great. Just press the button and woooosh! The opening vent hatch above the head is a great idea! Nav Station: A sitdown nav station...and it's comfortable, even for writing! Hot water: H/C pressure water! Coolness! Radar: Well, we're still learning about it, but it's fun! MORE TO COME!!! Capt RB |

I guess that means they qualify as "hi tech" or "tricked out" LOL.......... Personally I'd rather have the "top" items on my boat be sailing related. S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" Trains are a winter sport |

Value of Toys!
glad to see you are enjoying an 80's era boat. Just imagine what lies
in store for you in 2020, when you step up to a 2000. LOL! We're catching up. In a few years we plan to own a late 80's or even 1990 C&C 34+ or XL. The 110 is seeming to be too poor a value by comparison, but we'll see. RB |

It's a toy boat. It doesn't sail.

Electric Head: We had one on the 27'...they are a real drain on the battery so only flush when using the engine....

How much of a drain? My electric Lavac uses about 3 Amp-minutes for a long flush - that's
one Amp-hour for 20 flushes. However, there are times that we don't want to fill the holding tank too quickly. Then we follow the adage "If its yellow, let it mellow; if its brown, flush it down." Maybe I'll use that as my sig when I converse with Peggie ... -jeff "If its yellow, let it mellow; if its brown, flush it down." or maybe not. "katysails" wrote in message ... Katy, the electric head requires two flushes which last less than 5 seconds
each. We've been out sailing all day, used the head, 12v fridge, watched TV at anchor and used lights. Next morning the battery monitor shows a drain, but nothing close to preventing an engine start. RB |
Value of Toys!
What??? You're using the house bank to start the engine? Do you have one bank, or is the switch on
"BOTH"? You have a lot to learn if you want to do two days in a row! "CANDChelp" wrote in message ... Katy, the electric head requires two flushes which last less than 5 seconds each. What??? You're using the house bank to start the engine? Do you have one
bank, or is the switch on "BOTH"? You have a lot to learn if you want to do two days in a row! Three way system, with 3 batteries now installed (two grp. 27, one 24). Batteries are truly isolated (Not just the switch) and we have a 3rd group 24 for backup which is also isolated. There is a small 6 amp seperate charger installed for that one now. The Charles charger is a 50 amp for the mains. RB |

Then why did you say the fridge and TV didn't drain enough to affect starting? Sounds
like you're making things up again. "CANDChelp" wrote in message ... What??? You're using the house bank to start the engine? Do you have one bank, or is the switch on "BOTH"? Sounds like you're making things up again. Because we have left the switch set for both by mistake. Never made a lick of difference. Sorry! You lose again! Bwahahahahaha! RB |
Value of Toys!
Then why did you say the fridge and TV didn't drain enough to affect
starting? I said that the fridge, TV, lights and head didn't cause a starting worry. Can't you get ANYTHING right or is warping the truth your hobby? Sheesh. RB |
Value of Toys!
You said "Next morning the battery monitor shows a drain, but nothing close to preventing
an engine start" implying that if there had been a larger drain, it would have affected engine start. Then you claimed the batteries were isolated. Then you said you had the switch on BOTH. Then you claim it doesn't make any difference. It sounds like you're very confused. I like that new twist - the confessed pathological liar accusing others of "warping the truth." Good one. I like that new twist - the confessed pathological liar accusing others of
"warping the truth." Good one. But you keep lying constantly. You even said you heard Dennis Connor of ESPN 2. Lies and more lies. RB |
Value of Toys!
In the first post I suggested you left it on BOTH, but you went into a rant on
how that batteries were "truly isolated." Looks like you're the one busted. Maybe you can explain how this "busts" me, Jeff??? Where is the falacy in my statement? You've already lied...and this makes two times! RB |
Value of Toys!
A normal person might have responded to the first post with "Yes, I left it on
BOTH, I'll never do that again!" But you're not a normal person, are you? Another lie! I already posted that it had been "left on both by mistake." Three lies by Jeff and counting...and it's just 9:00 am! RB |

you're reduced to babbling - you're just a pathological liar, You should seek
help, really. Your 5th lie. I responded to your troll with facts. No you've been reduced to name calling. I guess it's the best you can do. My orginal post said that the electric head and other items presented no serious load for an overnighter. You've had nothing of value to add since then. And that's a fact. RB |
Value of Toys!
Now you're claiming I made up the post you just made???
You claimed that I didn't indicate leaving the switch to both. When I proved that you lied, you then desperatly claimed that I made the post too late!!! To late for what, you kook? Bwahaahahaahahaha! RB |

Now you're claiming I made up the post you just made??? Show me one lie I made. He's now lying about other people lying? Pretty soon he'll have come full circle and start telling the truth. |
