Then it sounds like you've got a handle on it. Katy's
ISP has problems with it's server(s). I have one more suggestion. It might be that they have too much security on their proxy server. Katy should try bypassing the proxy and set up her own firewall. She can de-activate the proxy using the "Properties" dialog box and the "Connections" tab of Internet Explorer. "Flying Tadpole" wrote in message ... We've (ie includes my ISP and others) already been down that path. Her ISP is running a black hole with no event horizon. One can track posts, emails right to their entry into her ISP, then zilch, nothing, naught. What occasionally emerges deifes probability (a naked singularity). No changes to headers or rules are enforced. Katy should try doing a tracert to look at all the steps to her Kraut server. She might get a clue there. Katy if you're reading this open a command window. It can be found on XP start menu under Accessories. In the open window type "tracert news.leapfroginet.com" "Flying Tadpole" wrote in message ... Taddy's ISP has even got into the fray...they say there is nothing wrong with Leapfrog...This isn't as bad as AIL yet, but it's getting there... -- katysails s/v Chanteuse Kirie Elite 32 http://katysails.tripod.com "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." - Robert A.
