Good lord --- does anyone sail in this group. must not be if you got
time to sit around and talk about underwear , or is it because you
have not ported to wash clothes LMAO

Actually I've been up my country place with my daughters, furthering
their education. The youngest can now hit metallic silhouette rabbits
consistently with the 22LR, the elder one is driving the tractor
(*she* can slash all the weeds now while I drink err supervise) and
hits just about everything she shoots at. Time to move them on to
centrefire rifles and longer ranges. Unfortunately they're too smart
to learn to use the chainsaw so I still get to cut all the firewood &
dead trees off the roads.

My wreck of a daysailer is some 1500 km from where I am at the moment.
As for sailing, I'm off to sea on the 9th September, most likely, for
9 weeks. Comfort sailing, with hot & cold running crew to do all the
work, while I get paid to play with other peoples' toys. Back just in
time for a long, lazy summer on the water.

Your life should be this rich and full of variety :-)

Underwear are boxers and briefs and other assorted venue of trouser

towels
worn by the incontinent, hygienically challenged masses.

Long Johns are not underwear..... they are only referred to in that

manner
by the ignorant and unwashed that have no clue of seasonal dress codes

or
requirements. Liberals, Yuppies and Homosexuals generally refer to

Long
Johns as Underwear.

When in season they are washed as often as you wash your clothes and a
complete set consists of 6 pairs.

When it's really cold I wear my silk long johns under my regular long
johns.... it would be embarrassing to tell you how good that feels at

50
below.

Doesn't get that cold at sea (-30 or so) but I know what you're
saying...

Mooron's right & Nav's wrong. Long johns aren't underwear. Std dress
indoors on Antarctic bases is thermals with maybe a pair of Hawaiian
shorts over the top. Ditto on ship. We have outdoor BBQ's at -15C
dressed in this fashion.

Mooron, ya gotta remember that Nav's a Kiwi. They can't *afford*
underwear let alone good thermals. This is just envy manifesting
itself.
