Cool idea but expensive for the limited functions.
With HeathKit we learned to solder, read schematics, identify
components, and sometimes even ended up with a (semi) working guitar
amp, TV, ham radio, or oscilloscope.
Kinda neat, but I agree..... tons of "concepts," but no real
understanding behind the glitz.
Those are more like the new, flashy version of those old Radio Shack project boxes. You know, the ones that had a variety of components mounted on a board with their terminals being little springs, and a handful of wires. You would stick the wires into the springs to interconnect the different components to build different working circuits.
