Massachusetts Rivers?
(Kevin) enquired:
I recently relocated to Boston, MA and was wondering where the good
park+play spots were. I remember seeing a website where you could
enter your address and it would tell you all the good ones in the
area, but I think it might have gone offline (or my search
capabilities are fading with time). In any case, I heard that I'll
have a bit of a drive ahead of me, but if anyone has any suggestions
I'd appreciate it! I'm looking for a friendly class 3 play-spot as
it's been a few years since I've seen any real moving water.
I never heard of the website you're referring to.
Check out
http://www.americanwhitewater.org/rivers/state/MA/
for a list and
descriptions of pretty much all the whitewater in Massachusetts. The Cohasset
Wave is said to be kaput, last I heard; there are a couple PnP spots Downeast,
however. See
http://www.americanwhitewater.org/rivers/state/ME/
for a bucking
funch of runnable streams.
http://www.americanwhitewater.org/rivers/id/786/
and
http://www.americanwhitewater.org/rivers/id/3634/
are a couple of coastal PnP
in that great state.
Good luck finding play!
