The comment that "he doesn't get it and never will" was bs.. Unlike
others here I am willing to learn.

Either way now that we are dealing with the correct definition I
understand completely, and always did.... Like I said, pressure on the
bars, not direction.. If I got that yesterday when I specifically asked
if it meant the direction of the bars.. none of this would have happened...

I know we put more pressure on the left bar in a left turn.. my
confusion was thinking John and you were saying it was the direction of
the bars in relation to the centerline of the bike.. My bad, see, I can
admit that too....

Like I said, like it or not I see a lot, that whole three dimensional
comprehension thing... even if I can't always communicate it with words.

The riders I train pay me well, so I must be doing something right...

Counter-steering is less important in dirt-biking.
And most street bikers don't really know how it works, as they do it
unconsciously. Some never even heard the term.
But it's important in an emergency situation.
Like a when a car appears crosswise in front you, many bikers will try
to lean it and turn the wrong way, broadsidng the car or otherwise
killing themselves.

I wish the MSF Basic Rider Course was a requirement for getting a license
everywhere. Here, when I
took it with my wife, everyone who passed the course got a sign-off by
the VA DMV guy on the spot. I
think a lot of states are heading in that direction, but not all by any means.

I think Calif now requires new riders to show a safety course. I have had
the MC endorsement for at least 43 years. When I was a. Kid, just needed
a license. Did not have a separate MC. Endorsement.

When I got mine the DMV lady told me to go down to the end of the street and come back. She waved
OK. That was it.

The VA test is much harder now, more like the MSF final.
