I don't think deleted messages from a newsgroup go into any kind of
"trash" folder, mainly because there isn't one and no apparent way to
create on. You can have a trash folder in the email and "Local
Folders" accounts, but not in the newsgroup account. I suspect they go
into a "temp" file somewhere that has some maximum space before they are
deleted, last in, last out.
There's a setting under account settings / synchronization and storage
to delete more than X days old. Text doesn't amount to much.
