This is just to the north of the harbor I normally launch out of. In July,
the ocean is 45' deep and calm at the reef break.
We used to body surf waves twice that high at Barbars Point in Hawaii!

more like 6 to 8 feet high.
I heard the north Shore in Hawaii was way to large to surf this week.

LOL! No, I didn't do any of that. On the north shore of Kauai they were reporting 25+ ft.r's . And the beach there is a hard slope -the kind that lets the wave slap you right into the place,and if you're lucky it won't drag you out to roll you over again before it swallows you. It's not a good swimming place!
How about fishing?
