I came across some videos that my brother Bob took during our boat trip
from Scituate, MA to Jupiter, FL. years ago. This video is of the first
two legs of the trip and I converted it from VHS tape, edited and
condensed it from a much longer video. Boat is the 52' Navigator
Pilothouse "Soul Source" I had at the time and this was my first time
making the trip down the East Coast.
I may post others as I edit them as the trip and scenery became more
interesting the further south we went.
My brother was First Mate and Chief Cook on the trip. He cooked better
than he took video recordings.

Thanks. It's cold down here this morning, and the video warmed it up a
bit. Was that the back of your head I saw during the helmsman scene?
Next time, get your bro to jump over the side with the camera and paddle
along so we can see how whatever boat you buy in the future looks while
cutting through the water.
That's me.
Here's a still from the video waiting to enter a lock just south of
Norfolk. We were the first boat to enter and were all proud of
ourselves as we tied up to the side, waiting for all the other boats
behind us to enter so they could close the gates and lower the water.
Looked like we knew what we were doing.
A sailboat tied up behind us and the salty looking captain, beard and
pipe, climbed off his boat, sauntered up to my boat. He asked, "First
time through a lock?"
"Yup", I said.
"Well, you might want to consider loosening your lines a bit, otherwise
your boat will be hanging off the wall when the water drops". Duh!

Were bagels available with those locks?
You need a boat big enough to buy my slightly used but in perfect
condition iMac 27". Every family needs at least three iMacs.
