New Internet Term

My wife's grandmother is fond of forwarding every chain e-mail she receives.
There's no stopping her-- no matter how many frauds are exposed, no matter
how many times little Josey White has been found. She just can't help
herself. Hence the new word ... "spam-ma".
Your wife still has a grandmother? Who at her age uses a computer?
That is unusual in itself. My grandma has trouble with telephones.
An acquaintance noted that he received the same e-mail jokes in waves,
as his non-computerized friends joined AOL, some random ISP, then WebTV.
For instance, how many times have you seen the Woman vs Beer joke?
Yup, there are six kinds of people who forward stuff indiscriminately:
1. people just discovering the wealth of jokes and information
2. people who are too lazy or depressed to write for themselves
3. people with poor memories who can't remember reading it before
4. people who think anything on the Internet has to be true
5. alarmists who don't have cable TV and thus miss Faux News
6. people who like telling alarmists it's just an urban legend
