Think, ice, 500cc 100 hp. Methanol burner, almost no suspension, no

brakes, all on about a 1/3 mile oval track.

Speedway racing. Jess needs to expand her horizons...

So, that's what the do with the speed-skating track when the races are done.

This is what we did in the blizzard the other night These carts are
fun as hell..

Check it out...

I've never ridden in a go-cart on a track, or anywhere else for that
matter. I'd like to, one of
these days. There used to be a track pretty close to the house, down on
Eisenhower Blvd, but I think
the Alexandria jail is there now.

Probably where all those go-karters went too!

After a cart ride at the track, let someone else drive you home. You will
want to hit the corners to fast in a street vehicle for a while,

You are not kidding... It was a blizzard that night so I went home at 30
all the way, took almost three hours to go 60 miles with stops to clean wipers, etc...

However, even the next day I found myself "seeing" corner lines and
driving to them in my truck, had to put myself in check a couple times....

Back about 50 years ago, was a track next to Berkeley and just by the
freeway on ramp. My buddy in front of me went up the on ramp mostly
sideways.
