Per a 'study' of motorcycle related injuries and deaths, the CDC concludes that a universal helmet
law should by enacted. Now, I personally think everyone riding on a motorcycle should wear a helmet.
I don't have a problem with a state enacting a helmet law to protect its citizens. I do have a
problem with the federal government possibly enacting a universal helmet law. I also have a problem
with an agency conducting a 'study' which focuses on emotion rather than facts.
Lastly, I wonder to myself, why the CDC hasn't called for 'universal prophylactic (i.e., 'rubber',
for Kevin) laws'. Look at the lives and money that would be saved just in the AIDS arena alone!
