Default Best solo approach with Old Town Discovery 133k?

That is definitely not a solo boat! It has a 40 inch width that will kill
you if you try to paddle from the center and a double bladed paddle will
only make it worse.
I think the "solo" option was designed for casual fishing/photography trips
where you might want to be in the middle of a stable, BIG boat.
I will say you can probably have a lot of fun with the oars. I tried a
rowing rig on a canoe once and could not believe how fast the boat would
move under oars. The problem? I couldn't see where I was going!

Hi all:

I'm seriously considering purchase of the subject canoe, for a mix of
recreational solo and tandem use. Could someone advise me whether solo
works best with...

1. Regular paddle
2. Long double-ended paddle
3. Oars in the oarlocks.

Thanks!
