I believe I explained last summer that I found the nose part of my boat
hook (orange tip) would get jammed as I placed the hook part around the
horn of small cleats on the launch rafts, docks etc and pulled myself
closer..which changed the angle of the hook to dock and boat.
I really like using the gaff.. no jamb problems.

If this doesn't make things clearer, you two are on your own.


You need the brush that screws on the end of your boat hook, or cut off the
threaded portion. Maybe are bollards are bigger than your cleats as I have
no problem with my boat hook, which looks really similar, except the orange
cap has not been on it in years.
