Today's laugh comes from Rick Perry, who, when asked by Chuck Todd
whether the rate of high school graduation in Texas would hurt the state
(Texas ranks 49th), responded, "We're third in high school graduation."
Where did you see the 49th number?
How far back did you set the way back machine Sherman?
I see numbers in the mid 20s on objective comparisons but it really
gets down to how you define "high school graduate"
On one extreme it is only a kid who graduated from a unionized public
school in 4 years (9-12)
The other extreme includes guys who get GEDs in prison but I don't see
any that put Texas at #49.
