like John F. Kennedy, one with strong religious and personal beliefs who could assure the voters

Why does someone running for political office need "religious" beliefs?
What religion do you have in mind?

You have to believe that there is someone or something greater than you, otherwise, you wind
up with some in office who believes that he is God.
