I reckon 2hp is really for yacht tenders and the like. If you're out at
sea, 2hp won't do much against a strong tide. 3 or 4hp will give you a bit
more speed and perhaps be safer. I tend to agree with the other poster,
that a bigger boat would be better. You may be a strong swimmer (as I hope
I am), but you're only human, and the sea is the sea.
However, if you are determined, then take all reasonable precautions, don't
be too adventurous to begin with, and keep an eye on the weather:
