Reminds me of a conversation a women radio operator on a boat had with the
coastguard, complaining that a Mayday alert was boring and could they change
channels from 16 as she was trying to contact friends!!!!

Somebody called the coast-guard from off Cowes at the weekend, and
insisted they send out the lifeboat for his wife who had cut her finger.
They even had an ambulance waiting for her at Yarmouth.

To be fair, the caller described the 'cut' as a 'severe laceration', and
we had no idea of his boat size, type, and number of crew, but it did
seem over the top.

Nice to see the lifeboat fly past though.

BTW I'm new to all this, and was in Yarmouth doing an RCA powerboat
level two course.
