The fundies have already all but eliminated access to abortions in many
states, they've cut back on women's health clinics, they've cut back on
needed social services for the poor, and about a dozen other things, all
so the wealthy have lower taxes. They're not just talking about doing
these things...they are doing them,.

Really?

You haven't heard about the efforts in many Republican governed states
to shut down many, if not all, womens' health service clinics and all
the other social services cutbacks? In some cases, in Texas and in other
states, there are now requirements that doctors who perform abortions
have "admitting privileges" at area hospitals, but the hospitals won't
grant these privileges to doctors who perform abortions.

Many of these states had few clinics to begin with, and now the states
are trying to shut down those that remain.

It's the cutback in other social services, though, where the state
governors are looking for ways to pass along more tax cuts to the
wealthy. Kansas is the prime example.

"Efforts"?

The question was whether the service was unavailable, not whether it
was unpopular.

BTW there are hospitals in DC that don't do "abortions". (although you
can get a procedure that terminates a pregnancy)

The fact is, every single woman in the US, citizen or not, has access to
abortion on demand.
