I'm the owner of the 38' S&S aluminum sloop. We priced the boat at $54k orig,
then dropped the price to $42k when we moved from OR to FL. The boat needs a
little cosmetic work and a little tlc. If the boat looked like a showroom boat,
we would be asking double the price.


You have a beautiful boat and she has good history. Your price is more than
fair, but she's a very unique boat that seeks a unique buyer. Most folks want a
"common" boat with a firm value (Pearson, Catalina, Hunter, Island Packet) and
are worried about buying a boat like yours, unless they are well schooled and
want "that" boat.
