Default fs: 1980 Allied Seawind Mk II 32' in N. Florida

Minneford's built good boats, and certainly Vanguards were solid boats. A
Vanguard is longer, wider, more room, carries more sail, is very seaworthy and
goes about 25% of the asking price of that particular Seawind.

The average buyer does not usually seek out a boat built at Minnefords. They
want a boat people have heard of and one that can be resold.
Pearson Vanguards sell under 20K all the time. They also have a variety of
problems (mostly deck, such as gell peel) along with the Wanderers. The listed
Allied is 10 years newer than the average Vanguard as well.
The reputation of the Allied's is simply higher than the Vanguard. It's public
perception that commands the market.
