We're finally going to have three nice sunny days in a row so the

wife, dog and I will haul our Legend down to the Bras d'Or Lakes in

beautiful Cape Breton for a few days.

I've always wanted to explore a half dozen islands in the Marble

Mountain area.

Can someone step up and control Snottie's craziness and FlaJIm's

legendary humour while I'm gone?

You really have a problem don.. hope you have a ****ty time and loads of

bad luck...

Is Don putting together a crappy kiddie motorbike racing team?

Well, made it back in one piece in spite of Snottie's 'curse'.

I did have to bump & rattle the boat & trailer over some of the worse back roads I've seen in quite a while and when I returned yesterday...no internet access..so this has me thinking..

Is our Little Snottie a witch in addition to being a bitch?

BTW.. service provider says the problem was in programming and fixed at their end. They cancelled the tech appointment I was expecting this afternoon.

So how was boating on the Bras d'Or Lakes? I've always wanted to go

there but it's a long haul for us, even if starting in the North

Eastern US.

Gorgeous..we launched at marble mountain in the West Bay section of the Bras d'Or lakes.
Water was very smooth at 1100 hrs so we hightailed it south west to the Crammond Islands, which are a popular overnight anchoring spot for cruising sailors.
there is a narrow channel between the two islands that's a bit tricky to navigate. Looked down at one point and saw the bottom staring back at me with a reading between 3 and 4 feet on the Hummingbird.
Got about 3/4ths of the way through when we spotted a fiberglass bow rider type boat beached on a sand spit. Asked the young guy if we could go any further and he said yes, but it was tricky. My Garmin Blue Charts America showed the way but in rough detail compared to the detail showed around Halifax.
