It's too bad you feel that way, because there's very little of interest
down your way, aside from the waterways and beaches.
I like waterways and beaches.
I have very little interest in needing my GPS programmed to warn me
which streets are not even safe to drive down in the day time.
I notice you chose to live 50 miles out of town.
BTW what is the cultural activity in Calvert County? Bingo night at
the Calvert Pines Senior Center?
It's actually about 40 miles, a one hour, $3.75 commuter bus ride. Best
way to get to DC if you work there.
We have waterways and beaches, too.
We have museums, galleries, large gardens to visit, many restaurants, a
first-rate regional hospital, good doctors, outdoor music programs in
good weather, a water park, marinas, public launch ramps, move theaters,
lots of interesting fauna and flora, a pretty low crime rate here in
Huntingtown, et cetera. Bingo usually is something the VFW or fire
departments run.
For serious shopping, e.g, a big-time shopping center, we do have to
drive to Annapolis, about 30 miles along a lightly traveled state highway.
Heck, we even have some nutcases in the Tea Party and Constitution Party.
