The fatal shooting of a former Marine by Alexandria, Virginia, police

was justified, the Alexandria Commonwealth's Attorney determined.

That means that *seven* Alexandria police officers will not face charges

in the shooting. An internal police department investigation into the

shooting will now occur.

On February 18, 2013, 30-year-old Taft Sellers, a former Marine, was

visiting his grandmother at her apartment in the 3400 block of Duke

Street when he got into an argument with his sister. Sellers' sister

called police and informed them that he had a gun but had not threatened

to use it.

The responding officer tried to talk to Sellers, repeatedly asking him

to show his hands, authorities said.

S. Randolph Sengel, the Commonwealth's Attorney for Alexandria, said

Sellers was shot when he pointed his gun at the officers.

Out of the 37 shots fired, Sellers was struck five times. He was

pronounced dead at the scene.

He did not fire, the report said.

Later news reports indicate Sellers was struck by an officer firing a

shotgun and by an officer firing a rifle. The more than 30 shots fired

from handguns by the five other officers missed Sellers.

Gives one great confidence in police firearms training and capability, eh?

Absolutely Harry Krause.

By the way, was that Maryland domestic violence case against a Harry Krause actually you? Eh? Was it you that the judge issued a protective restraining order against? Eh?
