Glad you brought that up, Rich. After being in business since 1947,
Samuel Music Store, locked their doors as of today. Got tired of the
internet bandits and 'window shoppers' ....those who will come in and
try an instrument, then order it online to save $30.00, They were the
ones responsible for bringing in Yamaha and Hohner instruments into
the US, plus Arbor and many other labels.

In the past 20 years, I can't tell you how much gear I bought from
them but it was literally into the thousands. I didn't have the heart
to attend their all week, 50-60% going-out-of-business sale. Plenty of
buzzards, picking them to the bone. but I showed up at about 4:50 and
was the last one out the door at 5. I showed up to say goodbye to long
established employees that will be drawing their final paychecks in
the next thirty days. I feel that Samuels was actually the store that
all other mom and pops should have been modeled after.

Sad day.
