Starboard is heavy and not inexpensive. You might find it easier and
cheaper to buy some redi-made dock boxes somewhere.

I still like Luan BS1088 for light and strong. That unfinished (bare
wood) boat is still in my backyard now nearly ten years, no rot. I would
make nice boxes with some Mahogany trim and 9mm 1088 Luan... They would
be light and strong.. and they wouldn't rot easily.

Still? When is the last time you made a boat?

He's had a finished boat in his yard for a decade and hasn't bothered to
paint or varnish it? It's still bare wood?

Forget trying to put down Scot. Answer the question:

When you chamber a round at the range do you then put the pistol aside, or stand around and shoot
the ****, such that you need to put the thumb safety on? That would violate your first rule - not
ready to fire 'til you're ready to fire. If you've chambered a round, it should be because you're
ready to fire - no need to put the safety on, other than to immediately take it off again while
aiming.
